i am living with my wonderful boyfriend and our friend kyle, which is okay for now, but he just got a completely annoying yellow lab puppy and i hate her so much, because labs arnt even that cute..
anyways, i start cosmetology school very soon, i kinda gave up on the whole graphic design thing.. dont get me wrong i absolutely love art, but i cant fathom spending like thousands and thousands of dollars for a degree that will keep me in debt from student loans for the rest of my life. i am going to paul mitchell and its only 13,000 for the whole program and the place is awesome.
i have been completely bored with my life, i need some change like asap, me and aaron are forever talking about how we are going to save up money and move away, once i am done with school of course, and save up enough money, we figure we should have about 10,000 between the both of us, which sounds like a ton, but shouldnt take but about 2 years or so? kinda hard though when i will be paying off school debts, and that is based on whether aaron gets a better job or not :\
also, i need to be skinny with long hair, please anddddd thank you.

this was my first day of the dead type art, but deff not my last. i kind of regret making her eyes larger than life and unproportional because looking at the picture now, it almost makes her look cross-eyed haha, it was intentional but i am not sure i like the outcome..
i have been very inspired by the day of the dead type art, because i love super colorful anything, and you can really play around with it and do lots of fun things. i have all these ideas of art i want to do, but for now i am also thinking a little harder about doing a tattoo apprenticeship, so david (my tattoo dude) gave me an outline of a gypsy with a kind of la catrina type makeup, sooooo that should help jump start my way to making some of my own tattoo designs and fun day of the dead artwork, to give me some practice and whatnot. he said the best thing to do it on is vellum and with prismacolor verithins, but i dont have verithins so ill just stick with my orginal colored pencils until i can get some verithins.
i have always kinda thought it would be cool to be a tattoo artist (two things i love) but either way, i am getting my cosmetology out of the way first.. because tattoo apprenticing isnt cheap :\

its gotta be getting tattooed. i am not even 19 yet and i have 5 tattoos and have been tattooed 8 times, plus i am going to get my half sleeve worked on on my birthday, which is sunday :) which i am superrrr excited about because having it unfinished is really bugging me lol i have like the swirl on my shoulder, then the finished octopus on the inside of my arm, then the unfinished outline on the rest of my arm, haha stupid, needs to be changed

but i loveeeee doing it! :D i just wish i wasnt so hard on myself about the things i make, i am deff my worst critic. i can see like a million things wrong with it and nothing ever feels finished, and halfway through i pretty much get to a point where i want to just throw it away and move on with something else.
anyways, i am also trying to find my style, i know i like to use prismacolor colored pencils in about everything, but if i were to have something like an art show, my art would be allllll over the place, not one single theme to connect the pieces and show that i created all of them. which is hard to do when most of what i have been doing is kinda pieces i might not have done for myself or on my own time, like the cityscape i am doing for kait.. not that i dont enjoy doing things like that :) its just not very productive when trying to find who i am in terms of my artwork..
